Our showcase on February 11 brought together four acts, who we’ve been excited about for a long time. Opening up were Lillet Blanc who convinced even more than at their first appearance last year. Next on were Letters to Nepal, the Brooklyn via Siberia indie-electronic duo that always brings something new to the stage: in this case Australian musician Piotr Nowotnik whose traditional acoustic instruments blended beautifully with Letters to Nepal’s ethereal electronics. Jon Prezant has been at the top of our wish list for a long time (see here and here), so we were thrilled to see him live in action together with a drummer. Last on stage was Blonde Maze, whose EP “Oceans” has been a personal favorite since her appearance at CMJ 2015. She is working on new material, like her latest single Antarctia.
