“I need a 2pm guy, not a 2am high,” sings Texas-born singer/songwriter Karis Lee and indeed it is hard to run a relationship solely on adrenaline without those moments of trust and comfort. “2pm” strikes with a sparse production and Karis’ gorgeous vocals, similarly chills-inducing and intense as the early works of French duo Ibeyi.

“2pm” is Karis’ solo debut single after a successful run with the duo Eleven. No new music is announced, but we very much hope to hear more from her this year:
