glamglare loves the New Colossus Festival
This festival – the New Colossus Festival in its third year – was dearly needed. Five days of pretty much non-stop indie music around the Lower East Side of Manhattan was the best proof that the creative spirit in music has been unbroken by the pandemic.
What you get for a reasonably priced badge is around 120+ acts that play a handful of clubs a few minutes away from each other. Aside from exciting local bands, the lineup is heavy on Canadian and UK musicians, some on the way to Austin for SXSW. There are also plenty of surprises on the list: We were delighted to welcome four bands from Germany to New York City this year. Let’s not forget the Colossal Conversations and the (sponsored) parties. Volilà here you have it, New York’s finest music festival!
